Rules for users of Brookes Drama Studio --------------------------------------- (2011-04-02 Saturday 02:28 - Paul) We should have a copy of Brookes Drama Studio rules here. Do you have that Malcolm? I know you sent it round years ago but an up-to-date version would be good. The main things, from memory, are: 1. No fires. (No smoking, no candles, no incense sticks, no cooking on naked flames (whether on stage or off). Nothing. Seriously.) 2. No eating or drinking in the Studio. (OK, does that seriously mean no drinking water in the building at all? Would be good to get this clear. There is a mop and bucket there, a shower, toilets and wash basins, so, OK, spilling even water on a lighting console could be expensive but sensible use of plain water should be OK, no? I guess the reason for the rule is that otherwise the place would get very scuzzy and sticky with spilt coke, beer, stale sandwich crumbs, chewing gum, etc. 3. Portable (mains) electrical equipment used in the Studio should be PAT tested for safety. Brookes have a very resonably-priced service if you need this done. ...that's all I remember but lets get the rules here for reference!
